Select "In-Store Pickup" or "Shipping" During Online Checkout

After filling your shopping cart, it's time to check out!  The default first question during checkout is your address.  When you hit "next", the following page provides you the option of either shipping or picking up in our workshop/store.  The domestic shipping cost will appear as the total for each chair and any applicable accessories that ship separately.  Or, if you proceed with "in store pickup", it will process with no charge applied.  This means you will be picking it up at our workshop here on Cape Cod.

Domestic Beach Chair Shipping

The Cape Cod Beach Chair Company ships chairs via UPS Ground throughout the continental US. UPS Ground service typically takes 1-5 days depending on distance, after leaving the workshop. Upon request chairs can be shipped overnight or via other expedited service, or costs can be billed directly to your own UPS or FedEx account. Please call us at 800-809-1750 to discuss special shipping requests.

Cape Cod Beach Chairs are protected with bubble wrap, packed in double-wall cardboard boxes and shipped individually. Unfortunately due to the size of the chairs we cannot double pack them to reduce shipping.  For simplicity, our web site is programmed with a flat rate per chair size for chairs shipped within the continental US. UPS calculates costs for packages of this sized based on "volume"; our flat rates offered to customers are usually much less than the actual cost we incur.   If you have questions on it please don't hesitate to call.  The flat rate domestic shipping pricing for beach chairs is as follows:

  • Surfside Recliner, Breakwater, Nauset Recliner, and Backpack beach chairs: $25
  • Nauset Heights, Oyster Harbor, and Monomoy Sling beach chairs: $35
  • Childrens beach chairs: $20

With a little bit of void space in the chair boxes, many of our smaller accessories ship free with beach chairs as they can fit in the same package.  Take advantage of this added value by including chair accessories or other gear to your order!  Shipping costs for larger accessories and gear is calculated separately from chairs and appears at check out.  

Local Pickup

To avoid shipping charges, chairs can be custom ordered over the phone or online to be picked up at our facility.  When shopping online the option for "free store pickup" will appear during the checkout process.  Simply complete the order and we will call you when the chairs are ready.

International Beach Chair Shipping

Cape Cod Beach Chair is always excited to receive orders from foreign countries, and has shipped chairs everywhere from Australia, to Europe, Asia, Canada, South America and the Caribbean! Shipping costs for international orders, as well as those going to US states and territories such as Hawaii or Puerto Rico, are calculated as needed using both UPS or the postal service.   Chairs can be packaged partially assembled and in smaller boxes to reduce shipping cost, if desired.  Please call or email justin@capecodbeachchair.com to obtain a quote.  Or, you can place orders online and we will follow up as needed to discuss additional shipping charges that may apply.  As an example- regular sized beach chairs typically cost about $100 to ship to Hawaii, or $85-95 to ship to Canada, via the USPS when fully assembled.  Shipping to Europe is a bit more.  

Chair Production Lead Time

Although we maintain a certain inventory of assembled chairs, with all the models, colors, and embroidery options offered by CCBCC we most often build to order.  Turnaround time to assemble chairs after receiving orders is typically 1 week.  Sometimes chairs (even personalized!) ship same day; other times it may take up to 2 weeks if we are exceedingly busy.  If you are ordering during the busy summer season or Christmas production time will likely be closer to 2 weeks.  If you have a "must have by" date please let us know so that we can plan accordingly.
