Gay Head Public Beach (Moshup Beach)

Gay Head's public beach in Aquinnah is known for its scenery and surf. It was actually Travel Channels "6th Best Walking Beach in America"! Moshup Beach runs from Philbin Beach to the unique red-clay Gay Head Cliffs. The beach is approximately a ten-minute walk from the parking lot on a scenic, cleared trail. For the more adventurous, there is a nude beach section as well. There is a $15 parking fee in summer.

Note: *The Gay Head Cliffs were declared a National Landmark in the 1960's but still suffer from erosion and human impact; the cliff area and beach are off-limits to the general public.
